Google Ads Policy: Building a Clear and Trustworthy Destination

Independent educational overview · Updated September 2026

Important: This page is an educational checklist, not a guarantee of Google Ads approval. Google reviews ads and destinations under its current policies and may apply additional requirements depending on the product, business, country, and targeting.

1. Represent the business accurately

Your website should clearly identify the business or organization responsible for the advertised offer. Do not imply that you are Google, Trezor, a bank, a government organization, or another company unless that relationship is genuine and authorized.

2. Avoid misleading claims

Google's Misrepresentation policy addresses deceptive or incomplete information about businesses, products, and services. Avoid unrealistic guarantees, fake scarcity, fake endorsements, undisclosed affiliations, and offers that are not actually available.

3. Make important information easy to find

A useful landing page should make the nature of the offer understandable without forcing visitors through confusing redirects or hidden information. Where relevant, clearly show business contact information, pricing, material terms, and applicable limitations.

4. Crypto-related advertising can have additional restrictions

Google's current cryptocurrency policy says some crypto-related products require certification. Hardware wallets designed to hold private keys are specifically listed among restricted cryptocurrency products that may require an approved application before advertising.

That means an educational page about a hardware wallet does not by itself guarantee that ads for a hardware-wallet offer are permitted. Check the current Google Ads policy and certification requirements for every country you target.

5. Do not use this website to collect wallet credentials

A legitimate educational resource should never ask visitors for a wallet backup/recovery phrase, private key, PIN, or similar secret. Do not build forms that collect those credentials.

6. Recommended trust pages

7. Before submitting an ad

  1. Confirm the landing page accurately describes the advertised product.
  2. Check that business identity and contact information are truthful.
  3. Remove fake endorsements, fake reviews, and unsupported claims.
  4. Check prices, fees, conditions, and availability.
  5. Review the current Google Ads policies for your product and target country.
  6. If the offer involves cryptocurrency or a hardware wallet, check whether certification is required.
